New Referals
New Referals
The screening process for employer-unverified referrals—candidates recommended through trusted networks or applied directly through the employer's HR department—constitutes an essential safeguard within Global Workforce’s overall methodology for H-2A and H-2B visa facilitation. While the company primarily draws from its secure, proprietary database of pre-screened candidates, it fully accommodates employer-specified preferred or referred candidates to ensure flexibility and alignment with client needs.
During the initial contract receipt stage, employers submit detailed specifications, including any preferred or referred candidates. These individuals are explicitly incorporated into the recruiting and matching protocol. Global Workforce treats such referrals as integral to the workforce request, allowing them to replace or supplement database-sourced candidates as required.
The operations team provides secure digital links for the referred candidates to submit required personal, immigration, and experience-related documentation. This includes full name, date of birth, relevant work history, current health certificate, and a valid passport (or application for one if not yet obtained).
All submitted materials are thoroughly reviewed and authenticated by the team. This encompasses cross-checking for accuracy, validity, and completeness against U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) requirements. Health certificates are confirmed as current and appropriate for the job role, passports are validated for authenticity and expiration, and experience documentation is evaluated to ensure it aligns with the employer’s job description and visa category (H-2A agricultural or H-2B non-agricultural).
The verification confirms that candidates meet core eligibility criteria, including nationality from an H-2 eligible country, absence of prior program violations (where applicable), and fitness for the specified temporary employment. Any discrepancies or deficiencies are addressed promptly, with requests for additional evidence or corrections as needed.
Once verified, referred candidates are fully integrated into the subsequent stages, including consulate processing, visa interview scheduling, and travel logistics coordination. This ensures they proceed alongside database-sourced workers without disruption to the employer’s timeline.
This verification protocol upholds strict adherence to federal regulations, including the prohibition on charging workers any recruitment or placement fees. By applying uniform screening standards to all candidates—regardless of sourcing—Global Workforce minimizes downstream issues such as consular denials, program violations, or operational delays. The approach also protects employers from potential liabilities associated with unverified referrals, while preserving the value of trusted networks or internal HR recommendations.
Preservation of Relationships: Employers retain the ability to prioritize known, reliable workers from trusted sources or prior experience.
Efficiency: Verification is handled expeditiously within the established 60- to 120-day visa timeline, often without extending overall processing.
Consistency: All workers, whether database-matched or employer-referred, receive equivalent scrutiny, ensuring a uniformly qualified workforce.
